Yandasm – Counselling & Wellness
Yandasm is a mental wellness web app built for South African students, offering accessible, structured support through both human connection and intelligent tools. At its core, Yandasm connects students with trained peer counsellors for private one-on-one chat sessions. Students can browse counsellor availability and book sessions through a built-in scheduling system, then communicate in real time through a live chat interface.
For moments between sessions, a floating AI companion widget provides always-on mental health support, available whenever a student needs to talk. Daily mood check-ins allow students to log how they're feeling, with a weekly visual history that helps them spot patterns over time. A dedicated Emergency page puts South African crisis helplines (including 112 and the suicide prevention line) one tap away for students in acute distress.
